RARE Vintage Maddux of California Clown Cookie Jar. A highly sought-after collector's item.
Maddux: Clown. Collector Cookie Jar. One of the hardest to find of the clown jars and one of the most colorful. This is the cold-painted version. No chips, cracks, or hairlines, but some cold paint is missing (see photos).
Face paint has survived well (approximately 98% intact). Base is under glaze; face, lid, and buttons are cold paint. Signed on the back "Maddux of Cal. with the number 2102".
