Vintage Brass Pierced Moroccan Hanging Lantern / Antique Candle Holder Lamp.
Large, antique Moroccan traditional pierced solid brass hanging lantern. Aged decorative brass with original patina, lightly cleaned to remove dust. Reminiscent of a tear drop shape and can be hung by the top ring or chain.
Originally a candle/tea light holder. These items are typically from Turkey, Persia, Morocco, and are also referred to as Oajar, Islamic, and Mosque lamps. Middle Eastern metalwork.
Hand-crafted in the late 1890's to early 1900's. Measures 27 inches tall with a circle at the top for chain attachment and a diameter of approximately 12 inches. Features delicate hand-cut filigree in shapes, flowers, or scrolls.
